DATM pages 13

Monday, February 28th, 2011

aw, this is cute, back when I had no idea how shitty things were about to get (ahem, superfluoushint about upcoming book) but I assume that every year I’ll look back at the previous years and be like “what a rube” because that’s how it works.

speaking of things, I tried to watch the Oscars last night…WOOF. All I’m gonna say is that I’m glad Black Swan didn’t win best picture, but I have no opinion on the Kings Speech because it’s the Infinite Jest of movies, meaning it’s never convenient for me to go sit down and see it even though I actually want to. Anyways, we all know the Oscars is an ostentatious circle jerk that doesn’t have any more significance than a fart in a jar so that’s all I have to say about it.

So I’ve been internally complaining about people never giving me feedback on facebook, then I realized I never give other people feedback, even though I read and enjoy their work. So I’m gonna do that now!

    - I love the “mope” panel
    - I love and totally relate to the sock full of quarters.
Ummm yeah, I’ve just been enjoying these a lot! I want to read the whole book. I also need to get Fart Party 2. How does one buy it directly from you?

all the info for buying directly from me is in the online store! it’s kinda expensive for overseas but thems the breaks

I have mini bouts of random depression (that just happen outta nowhere) and have no idea how to deal with them. :/

Oh yeah, and I was also going to respond to the King’s Speech comment - I think I feel that way about movies in general nowadays. My attention span has become practically nonexistent now that I’ve developed a habit of watching 22 to 39 minute TV shows, or the first ten seconds of youtube clips. So it’s very rare that I sit and watch a movie without wanting to fast forward (I just typed “fart forward” by accident) through the whole thing.
I did watch Black Swan but in little half hour increments. And I have like fifteen movies on my hard drive that I just can’t be bothered to sit down and watch and the King’s Speech is one of them..

I did read Infinite Jest last year though - it took me like four months, but totally worth it.

i feel the same way about the Oscars, but, just like the Presidential elections, I always wind up watching and I always care for some stupid reason, even though it seldom reallly matters to me who wins.

but then, i’m a pescimest (i’m pretty sure thats spelled worng)
