Did God’s People Makin’ Factory get a bailout?

WOOOO TOPICAL (a few months ago)

  2. trashman Says:

I can’t read the fart party properly these days.
I devour every panel for at least 10 seconds before i move to the next. I wanna check every little detail in case i miss a hidden joke or something.
I loved everything about this comic, btw.

  3. brendan Says:

This has to be the best comic you’ve done to date.

    I loved it.

  4. michael Says:

    Ahahahaha. . .awwwwwwww

  5. Patrick Says:

So Merv kept you around to stick it to his boss? What a badass.

  6. Bash Says:

Should have shown him squishing you making you short too :P

  7. Grim Says:

    Why is heaven New Jersey?

  8. Katie Says:

    I like this Merv fella.
…He’s probably the one that spilled yogurt sauce from his gyros on me during my construction, though, so scratch that. He’s a jerk.

  9. Jennifer Says:

    That was…awesome.

  10. Scott Says:

I want this comic tattooed on my face.

    Yup.

  11. Kid Douche Says:

An angel nodding off at the brick building in the sky where people are made. Typical.

  12. Phrozt Says:

This also explains your affinity for bums, as murv looks like every bum you’ve drawn. You were saved by a bum!

  13. Bruce Says:

Saved by that bum? Or made to endure the daily adventure we call life?

Julia is this a general malaise strip, or a bug-medical-issues strip?

I don’t have to know to enjoy it, but I hope you aren’t getting more/bigger medical news, just so wr can chuckle. Take care!

  14. Daniel Says:

What does your mom have to ay about this??

  15. That Pooka Says:

    It’s an okay comic. It’s not tackle-worthy.

  16. Hunter Says:

Eh, I think you can probably blame him for the lupus but I have photographic evidence that the alcohol and the smoke damage are self administered…

  17. Susan L Says:

I’m pretty sure Quimby’s in Chicago still has a couple copies of Vol 1. They did last time I went through.

    Susan

  18. LEO_SN Says:

    Hi, Julia.
I liked drawing comics too when I was a child. Actually, I want to make a comic about myself just like you do.
I like very much your comics, but I’m writing from Argentina, in the south end of the continent, so it’s hard to see one of your books here.

Afte all… Are you so rude as you seem to be in your comics?

  19. Julia Says:

    no

  20. Franklin Says:

hahah! yup, not rude at all.

  21. nick Says:

i know i’m gonna come off as one of those “OMG INTERNET BUDDIES” kinda people. but reading this page is a daily thing for me.
like i want to make cookies and mixed cd’s for you.

  22. deadcartoonist Says:

She died apparently. Nothing to see here - move along. I call dibs on her cat.

  23. That Pooka Says:

Certain comics bring about an awareness outside of herself, pulling her sarcastic interpretation of “here’s what I would like to have done” onto the paper. It’s totally what would happen if Scott Adams were a twelve-year-old girl. Or maybe I’m just bored and feel like messing with explanations. Try listening to the Movie Soundtrack to Metropolis, if you can find it, and you likely will not be able to, Fritz was pretty adamant about that. Blahs.

Hands down, this is the most sore my arms have ever been.

  24. Jacob Says:

This comic strip changed my life. You just keep getting better at this, Julia.

  25. Elizabeth Says:

    Hi from Australia Julia.

I think this comic is the best I have ever read, of all time…….. love all your stuff.

  26. NOT that pooka Says:

    dear pooka,

    you’re not tackle-worthy.

    that’s all.

  27. alex Says:

    oh shit, oh fuck

  28. Dan Says:

I don’t get it… Why is this the posting for December 14?

  29. PaulBags Says:

So does this mean an end to the hiatus?

  30. Cameron Says:

After coming to this site for more than a year, with the comics and stories slowly growing on me, I can’t tell you how happy it made me to get up this morning and see that “I saw you” was picked up by Dreamworks. Not sure what kinda deal Julia got out of this, but I can’t imagine this NOT helping her career. Congratulations!

  31. robby Says:

i like his crooked halo best.

additionally, i heard the missed connections pitch got picked up by dreamworks! congrats!

  32. DanLinford Says:

Congratulations on having “I Saw You” picked up by Dreamworks! I can’t wait to see it. I’m sure this will get you some much needed money, Julia.

  33. DaveF Says:

You became a star a long time ago, Julia. Now the world knows.

  34. stephanie Says:

    congrats!

i’m happy to read the part about julia’s direct involvement, otherwise i’d be forced to make a crack about how lame ‘intersecting love stories’ could be or how it won’t be as good as ghostworld :p

  35. susan Says:

i find it kinda hilarious that the book she hated editing is so popular .. heh. congrats though.

  36. Julia Says:

i’m actually not involved in it at all. reports staying so are incorrect.

  37. punk eric Says:

Didja at least get paid for it?

nothing sucks more ass than having a project take off while others profit from it.

  38. nando Says:

well, its getting your name out there and more fart parties for everyone!!

  39. Brei Says:
