I was also born with a learning disability and coordination disorder. It's called dyspraxia, but it was commonly referred to as "clumsy child syndrome". I have a LOT of falling stories. A simple rule to follow is this: You have to check and see if they are ok first and THEN you can laugh all you want including dramatic reinactments.

Add Lupus to the mix and drugs that make me a little more lupey and you have all the makings of a very funny situation.

Hey if you can't laugh, then what's the point?

Conversation reported by an acquaintance of mine:

AIRPORT SCREENER: "You gots a awful lot of drugs here."

PASSENGER: "I have lupus, so I need to take lots of different drugs."

AIRPORT SCREENER: "Lupus? That don't sound like no *real* disease."

Luckily the passenger also had some leaflets for her book on living with lupus.
