stuffy literary events

Monday, June 1st, 2009

luckily, cartoonists don’t host these kinds of things because we don’t have nice clothes and we like to drink. If you’re in New York this weekend, there are a lot of events happening which I’ll annoyingly remind you of again later this week. here they are:

Friday: There are so many parties going on that I’m not even going to bother. good luck.

Saturday:
11am: Mocca starts, where I’ll be tabling with Glidden and Nate Doyle.
2:30: I’m on a panel about making comics in a new era with some small press publishers
4pm: this is when I usually start to lose my fucking mind and hit the sauce for reals
6:30: multiple cartoonist signing including me and like a million other people at Giant Robot in Manhattan
10pm: after party/show at Austin English’s house at 282 Broadway

Sunday
11am: Mocca starts again, much to my chagrin
12pm? I’m sketching for part of the MoCCA fundraiser but I dont have the official times yet
3pm: hiding in the girl’s bathroom

Sounds like that stuffy literary event was just crying out for a squirrel to pee on someone

  2. Austin English Says:

http://grny.net/ for more info about the signing.

I love the Fart Parties in which she inflicts pain upon herself in response to life. I.E. the first strip on this site: http://www.fartparty.org/2006/06/01/my-first-record-player/

I’d have to say my favorite self-inflicted abuse by Julia was a fork in the eye. Classic!

Just to let you know, Fart Party is easily the best time-waster during finals week

    Hello!

Hilarious comic. That’s the reason I don’t attend academic symposiums… which is funny if you consider the latin origin of the word “symposium.”

Did you get my mini-comic preview thing?

A machine stapled it for me.

    Yep.

    Cheers,
