I went to highschool with Devin Sawa, he was a tool.

Michael J Fox is mine…don’t worry, that crush has lasted just as long
January 26th, 2009 at 11:49 am
p.s…must add, MJF probably NOT as cool as Jason Bateman, but man, was he hot on that skateboard in BTTF……*sigh*…..

You think you’re weird, I had a crush on Pete Townshend. When I was 9. That why I just avoided people as much as possible.

i miss arrested development so much… shows like that do not come very often and if they do, no one notices how awesome they are until the execs are like, “shit, cancel that show! we need more droopy sitcoms with ray romano’s brother that no one watches!”

Jason Bateman gets better with age. Do not be ashamed!
January 26th, 2009 at 2:12 pm
All this Talk of Jason Bateman and no mention of Teen Wolf Too? Come on!
Also, Michael J Fox is the coolest. That’s why he was in in the first Teen Wolf.

It’s Always Sunny filled the Arrested gap for me, and it seems to me that Adult Swim is losing their edge as of the ‘09…..fucking king of the hill. I hate that show. really.

Julia, did you like him in Juno too?

-Julia, did you like him in Juno too?
noooo. My love is very fickle.
January 26th, 2009 at 4:59 pm
I first saw him in “It’s Your Move” which I thought was hilarious. He’s never disappointed me in a role since then. While I don’t have a crush on him because that would be, well, gay, I’d sure love to have a couple of beers with him.

way to be cute, wertz.
January 26th, 2009 at 6:47 pm
also i didn’t realize “devin sawa” was a real person, i thought your friend just had a speech impediment.
January 27th, 2009 at 12:06 am
That is really funny, I just happened to be watching “Arrested Development” right now.
January 27th, 2009 at 5:17 am
HaHa! that is funny, cute and so honest. Love it.
I’m like that w/ Winona Ryder. It’s been over 20 years since BeetleJuice and Heathers but my crush on her has lasted for soooo long.
I really enjoy your comics that have some flash back panels. It adds depth and increases your hilarity, Julia. Keep up the Rad work Doood!

Teen Wolf Too
January 27th, 2009 at 11:50 am
AD was amazing but all amazing things can’t last, especially with the cost of each episode being pretty enormous.
Good to know other children were reading the Far Side as well. It only became funnier as I got older too.

I’m pretty sure my first celebrity crush was Alison Fanelli (Ellen) from Pete and Pete. But she never did anything else in acting and went into medicine instead.

This is very embarrassing to admit, but as a wee sixth grader, I had a crush on Dan Rather. That’s right, Dan Rather, the wrinkly old news caster who never smiles. & I didn’t grow up to fancy old men, there was just something about… Dan.
(hangs head in shame.)

Matt Bernier, she was on Mr. Wizard for one episode. The trick where you jump through a hole in a piece of paper. I’d link to some proof, but this computer won’t let me.
Julia, what happens if Mr Bateman reads this public announcement of yours here? If he shows up at your door with a shotgun, what will you do?
January 27th, 2009 at 3:55 pm
She’ll be ready for him, that’s what’ll happen. Julia sleeps with her shotgun loaded and chambered.
January 27th, 2009 at 6:09 pm
“but as a wee sixth grader, I had a crush on Dan Rather.”
aaaahahahha! oh man I love that, that’s fucking GOLD.
“Julia, what happens if Mr Bateman reads this public announcement of yours here? If he shows up at your door with a shotgun, what will you do?”
I will promptly remove my pants
January 27th, 2009 at 6:57 pm
Julia’s 3 possible reactions to any given input are:
1. Make a comic
2. Shoot with her shotgun
3. Remove pants.
Her school stopped giving her multiple-choice tests after the third one ended with her being dragged away naked from the waist down, having been found using the blood of her classmates to scrawl hilarious comics about the murders on the walls and ceiling.

I didn’t like Jason Bateman as a smarmy attempted pedophile adulterer in Juno, either.
January 27th, 2009 at 8:49 pm
If having a crush on Jason Bateman is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
January 27th, 2009 at 11:03 pm
I think it was the “He swept through the South like a tornado through a trailer park” comment that got me.

I’ve been deeply in love with Sigourney Weaver since I first saw Aliens.

Man, this artwork is really awesome! Your style is so cool…(even if a comic doesn’t work for me, the art is always great).
PS: I love Maura Tierney.

This totally happened to me with Jewel Staite (kid’s show Space Cases and then Firefly). F$!@ing studio executives.

My roommate and I used to make a point to watch Arrested Development every week because of Bateman. Then we went to see him as a guest for an Air America show (remember, the liberal radio station?). Anyway he was awesome and then we left after his time was up. He was outside and I got his autograph. I wished I’d just played it cool and asked him if he’d like to go grab a beer. One can dream….

Am I the only one here who never heard of The Hogan Family before?
