favorite signs in SF
Friday, November 21st, 2008so, I guess store signs are my new thing to doodle when I’m bored? they’re the new black or whatever the hell else I liked a month ago. Next up, Penis Gardens.
If you’re bored this weekend, decode this note! seriously, it’s been driving me nuts all week. I stuck it next to the coffee pot, which means it’s really important. It’s probably the idea that’s going to make me millions of filthy dollars so I can doodle street signs and eat cheese for the rest of my life, but instead it’s stuck forever in the vacuum of time that appears to have happened between 8:30 and 9.

The way you drew these, they look like delicious cake replicas of the signs. Everything looks like fondant and frosting, like on that show Ace of Cakes. Nicely done, but they’re giving me a craving.

I think the lightning bolt is the key to deciphering this note. It’s when the 1BH really starts kicking, if you wait half an hour,and take a 4 hour nap first. That’s what i would write down on my Paranoia Lurking Log.

Polk Street Station! Soon to be another shitty “diner!” Because all those awesome people who are moving into all those awesome new apartments in the area certainly don’t want some questionable looking place. No! They want more Mel’s! America! Fuck yeah!

I really thought that Needles & Pens sign said Penis instead of pens….
Maybe because it looks like there’s a penis poking out from behind the sign.
These signs look nice though. You could probably doctor them up a bit and sell them as prints on ebay.

I am impressed by the freehand circle for The Crepe House. Drawing a perfect circle was like the job-getter talent for the professional artist’s resume in the Renaissance. You should move there. The Renaissance.

Saturday Morning/Evening/Late. 1F(???). Sleep at 4 = one bad hangover = hell. Blitzed at 9.
I’m fluent in drunkenese, but I’ll be damned if I can figure out wtf 1F is.
