amazing guest strip
Saturday, August 23rd, 2008I gotta say, getting stuff in the real mail is one of life’s greatest pleasures. I previously warned readers not to send stuff when I lived in my old apartment since the mail always ended up on the floor or street, but now the mail is secure at my new place, so if you want to send me mail, you can get my address from the contact page.
also, to read it in a larger form, click here

I’m not sure of the point of that story, but it’s very cool that the talent runs in the fam! Thanks for sharing Sarah and Julia!
And Julia looks hot in her contact pic!

Hehe, that’s cute that you showed her stuff. I’m gonna mail you some of my weird stuff but it’s not as good even though i’m 15 years older than her.

J, the sensibilities in that comic were pretty heady…lot of thinking going on by Sarah.
Plus, if you consider that she goes to a close up as she realizes what’s really going on with that plant…well, that’s pretty sophisticated. Wow.
Amazing, indeed. Miss Sarah did a great job.
You can get mail again? Cool. Got some crap…I mean really good stuff I should send you.

i didn’t erase it, if you’ve never commented before, I have to ‘approve’ it. I approve everything but sometimes it takes awhile since I go to work and stuff. And for the record, Sarah Dear is not related to me, she was my aunts student, but I kinda wish she was.

I wish I had the conviction not to send made e-males. No wonder my plants are so huge.

Wow. It’s like Little Shop of Horrors, but with a Dark Side theme. Heh. Kids.
August 23rd, 2008 at 9:56 pm
Wow. Thanks for that post. For all the crap that can be heaped upon religion sometimes the insight of a kid can make you realize that there is some truth to be gleaned from all the BS. Hopefully this world doesn’t jade the poor girl and her art can mature along with her. Here is to Sara.
By the way long time reader first time poster. Good luck to you and your own cartooning career Julia.

maybe there’s something wrong with me. I assumed there was already a dark side to the little shop of horrors, but then I couldn’t think of one

It’s like the author of Cathy broke her writing hand.

This 12-year-old is far too enlightening. She must be stifled, I say! Before she brain-washes us all and starts a cult.
It’s totally cute. I wish I was that insightful at that age.

“Watering the Angry Seed” is an amazing title. And the comic seems great too — where’s the link to the full-size edition?
