So Kelly Hogan isn’t just an amazing singer, she’s also a kick-ass bartender? Rock!
January 3rd, 2008 at 3:50 pm
hey julia the wooden leg kelly makes is rye, bitters, lemon and soda! no 7-up, no iced tea, no mint! and yes Kelly Hogan can do everything better than us! She’s magic!

January 3rd, 2008 at 5:13 pm

January 3rd, 2008 at 5:38 pm

I loves me some Wooden Leg. Holy crap on a crutch, that is some good drinkin’.
Also, I’ve been making spiking my chai’s all this time without knowing they were called “scrumpys”! I was just calling them “my only friend at lunch hour.”
January 3rd, 2008 at 7:28 pm
weeeell, no one really calls them “scrumpys,” just me. the real drinks are called Faux Scrumpy or Scrumpy Strong, and involve apple cider. which is delicious, but have nothing to do with a hot scrumpy. I like like saying “scrumpy” scrumpyscrumpyscrumpy! scrumpy. and now it just sounds like gibberish. but “my only friend at lunch hour” is a way better name.
laura, that might be what I was thinking of and i got all confused with my fancy chicagan drinks.

When I come to Duck Duck I’m gonna do the Tony Millionaire thing with you. No, not fucking pizzas, I mean comics for drinks.

does the maple syrup blend well or have to be swallowed in lumps?
January 4th, 2008 at 2:41 am
My friends and I have a drink called a Fart in a Chair that I think is just rum and maple syrup… the recipe is somewhat disputed because it was invented after we were all quite done up
January 4th, 2008 at 3:48 am
Bluagg! they all sound fucking disgusting except fot the hot scrumpy. I mean, c’mon! mint and whiskey?? that’s not a cocktail, thats a recipe for vomit.
January 4th, 2008 at 8:44 am
Wow, can I get some fuckin’ pancakes with those drinks? No? how about a fuckin’ waffle then?
January 4th, 2008 at 11:37 am

January 6th, 2008 at 6:11 am

January 6th, 2008 at 10:14 am
I wanna pour all those drinks over some pancakes too. No… Waffles… I’m sorry, I’m so hungry for breakfast!!! OATMEAL! Can I get one side to yell OAT! And the other side to yell MEAL? Okay? Left side… LEFT side! This isn’t working.

I thoroughly enjoyed this post, because I thoroughly enjoy whiskey. I don’t know if you allow relevant links in your comments, but here is a relevant link about a whiskey creation I enjoy with my friends: http://www.danielmeans.com/2007/08/15/homesick/
Although I will say my favorite creation is whiskey in a mug…or from the bottle…as long as whiskey ends up in my mouth, that’s my favorite kind of whiskey.
January 8th, 2008 at 8:34 am
those are really great… but then again, pretty much anything with whiskey is.

I just read every single one of your comics online. I started yesterday and finished earlier this morning. Just thought you might want to know.
Actually, I came here because Nicholas Gurewitch said he liked your stuff:

Who are some of your favourite cartoonists practicing now?
A comic that’s been making me laugh a lot is Julia Wertz’s Fart Party. I also really like Emily Flate’s Lulu Eightball. She’s golden. I would suggest getting both of their books. They’re actually both with the same publisher, Atomic Books. They’re both funny.

Fuck you. It’s YOUR turn to visit. Get down here now and fix me one of those gross drinks.

Phrozt, I’m still making my way through the backlog of hilarity in my spare time. Thought I’d mention, the same article brought me over here sometime last week.
So yeah, there’s some pretty stinkin’ funny stuff in here. I’m enjoying it.
