That said, I grew up in South Jersey and coming here was quite a bad shock -- probably like what Julia will get when her first NorEaster comes along! Steam heat, if you have it, will be both a blessing and a curse. The blessing will be that you won't need a humidifier to keep your skin from drying out and your blanket from turning into a static-electric inferno! The curse? You'll be writing comics about that . I know what you mean. I live an hour or two out of the city and october has been completely lame. I thrive in cool temperatures, and except today and yesterday (both rain soaked, mind you), I've gotten nothing but shit on. I did, however, go on a nice, scenic drive today and saw many pretty color changing trees. you don't get much of that in nyc. oh well. ha! I know what you mean.
