  1. American Death Fat Says:

Cookies and beer are a surprisingly tasty combination.

  2. Matthew Bernier Says:

I didn’t read the title right and I totally thought all that was in New York anyway. You’ll be fine.

  3. smerwin Says:

i’ve never seen totally naked lesbians on a slip & slide in new york, but i’ve seen a lot of other excellent things.

when you get there, make sure you check out the alligator lounge (google it). free pizza with every beer. it’s incredible.

  4. Julia Says:

I already know about it. I also know that the alligator lounge is a total hipster clusterfuck. try again!

  5. michael Says:

I bet that NYC has naked lesbians, but only during the summer.

As for places? This will probably fail too, but St. Mark’s Bookstore. Go and look at books and magazines for hours and try not to buy things.. Good Luck!
When you’re done, go to either the okonomiyaki (Otafuku?) place around the corner on 9th which rocks, or go to Village Yokocho (arond the corner and right up the stairs).

I love both of those places for different reasons..

Otafuku cos it has Japanese seafood pancakes and other fried goodies, and Village Yokocho cos it has yakitori, grilled fish and delicious booze.

Gotta go to the city though.. sorry, I don’t know Bkyln all that well.

  6. Malach the Merciless Says:

They are not as attractive as those on the West Coast

  7. Mel Says:

Try Prospect Park. They usually have lots of lesbians (altho I have missed the naked ones).

Drunken eats? I like the Veggie Chili Frito Pie at the Levee on North 3rd and Berry. And they usually have cheesy puffs and candy on the bar. And beer. That too.

  8. becks Says:

no open container policy there? i’d get arrested here if i went to the park and opened up and imbibed some brews.

  9. Julia Says:

there is, but it’s not enforced. neither is clothing or smoking pot

  10. mgabrys Says:

Actually (in SF) clothing has always been optional-legal if not used “to solicit commercial services” - so no nudes in peepshow windows etc. That’s why you see nude protests in Union Square from time to time. It’s legal.

  11. mgabrys Says:

(feel free to merge this with my last email sorry)

link to some reference material in the Chronicle circa 2004:

You didn’t know being nekkid was legal in SF? Boy did you miss out!

  12. becks Says:

    “only in san francisco”

  13. smerwin Says:

no points for me, then. yeah, it’s full of hipster scum, but so is brooklyn. i put up with a lot for free pizza.

other places.. yaffa cafe? good pie. theee(several e’s) coffee chamber on bleecker, free wifi and patient staff. i’m no tour guide, so that’s enough of that.

  14. Sarah Says:

i know a place with cheap beer where pot is legal and clothes are optional…also it has snacks and a porch. its called my house!

totally full of hispters though. i cant go there anymore.

  15. Punk Eric Says:

so maybe it is time to ask, why you goin’?

Voltaire needed France, perhaps you need San Francisco.

  16. Julia Says:

sarah, why, I do believe I’ve been there, and last time I was there, you stole my pants while I was sleeping. clothing optional indeed!

  17. edgeways Says:

I believe that it is perfectly legal for women to go topless in public in NY

  18. Arvind Says:

Am not from the US of A. But i do understand why a lot of me friends wanna hit NY and SF now… they shud include all this in the tourism catalogue or something you know…

  19. Joe 2.0 Says:

Clothing optional in SF? *packs bags hurriedly* Heh, just kidding. Usually when I hear stories of public nudity, it includes “boy, didn’t really wanna see that”. (as in the nudie was disgusting in some way)
