No kiddin’ about the bagels in Cali. They suck and I live here. Any bagel west of the Continental Divide should be labeled, “Round Bread”. That would be truth in advertising.

    have fun in brooklyn!

make sure you’re checking the free weeklies for free stuff to do, e.g., concerts, plays in the park, author talks. and go for walks everywhere. I used to love checking out everything in manhattan & brooklyn, all the neighborhoods & sites.

and I know nothing about the comic industry, but I do wish you could get what you’ve done so far in a trade paperback. I could buy it and give it to my sister. so use voodoo dolls or whatever you have to do… but a minimum know that your work is appreciated it.

you’ll be able to buy the collection in a book this october from atomic books, no voodoo dolls necessary!

Not to tell you what to do or anything, but I also vote for skipping the forearm tattoos.

Have fun on the east coast! It was cool to read comics about places I recognized T_T but it should be cool to see what kind of stuff you run into over there!

I got the order, by the way! Thanks for the cool junk! :)

My favorite thing about the duck article was the article about Tony Blair’s man boobs linked on the right of it. They actually used the phrase “man boobs.”

Welcome to the family, new fellow Brooklynite! Let us know which local shops start stocking your stuff!

having lived on both coasts for some time, it did take me a long time (I’ve lived in CA for almost 4 years now) to find a decent place to get bagels—especially considering I only found this place about 3 months ago—but Katz bagels and pizza has really good, almost-as-good-as-east-coast bagels and two locations I know of in SF: one in the lower haight (it is down past NocNoc and such) and one in SoMa on Mission or Howard and like 4th St.

I’m, oh-so jealous! I want to live in New York so bad, the Bay Area is getting pretty dull!
