also, worry not DIY fans! The Fart Party remains agent free, it’s just the “I Saw You” book that has an agent. Because lord knows idiots like me have no idea how to handle the likes of Random House all by myself. I mean, look how horrible a job I did just meeting them for lunch! However, the good (and like minded) folk at Atomic Books are publishing the Fart Party issues 1-4, being released this October, and once I’m settled in Brooklyn, I will continue to self publish issues 5-7 and more & I’ve got a couple of other mini comics planned. And, just because I love them so, you will always be able to buy them through Microcosm Publishing.
speaking of Brooklyn- my east bound plane departs next friday! whooot!

Jesus, you must have been nervous. I felt like barfing when I first went to the First Second offices. And I had to sit in the park for a half hour after to calm down. I didn’t have a book deal at this point, mind you- Mark just said he liked my stuff.

you are moving to brooklyn next week? That’s where all the cool kids are.

  3. Julia Says:

that’s what everyone said about Portland. bitches please!

  4. Calvin Says:

Personally I think I like “HUARF” better as an onomatopoeia for barfing. But don’t get me wrong, I totally respect your artistic choices!

someday you will be rich and famous and people will go after you.
and about the huarf or horkm it depends on the vomit.

  6. pencil-guy Says:

Do you always barf unexpectedly? I would be scared if I saw that happen in front of me. For some reason I am more afraid of seeing vomiting than I am of death.

  7. fishamaphone Says:

Minus the horking, the pen, and the shower, I’ve had just about exactly the same experience.

OK, so I just couldn’t find an office building in Manhattan. Still, I spent more time wandering up and down a single city block than I did in the damn subway.

pencil-guy, you may have emetophobia. and i hear cognitive therapy is the best medicine (if a phobia interferes with your life enough that you want to be rid of it).
