oh, side note— can you point me toward an easy way to get Laura’s zine Do Not Disturb My Waking dream? I heard from a few people that it’s amazing and wannnna check IT out :B
The back-and-forth illustrator work in this strip is awesome. It’s like when two people are so excited to tell you about their afternoon that when one of them is only halfway through the anecdote the second one interrupts to jump in with a new funny detail.
I’m glad your most recent trip to the East coast was more amusing than horific. My g/f and I saw you at MoCCA, and though anticlimatic, I’m glad we went;)
well what did you expect? That I was made of cotton candy and ready to do somersaults and handstands for your amusement? sorry to dissappoint you.
robin- it happened in brooklyn near 6th and flatbush, in this crazy store full of olden timey toys

Julia, best wishes on the move to the Big Apple. Have the time and meet the people and experience the stuff of your life.
For me, the ONLY major draw back to NYNY is the cold winters. It can get colder than the inner circle of Dante’s Hell at times. Jeebus. All the other challenges are easily dealt with. But that cold…that’s a whole new set of woes. It’s balanced by the most amazing spring in Central Park and the best autumn in the village ever to be experienced.
When Susan and I head that way this fall as planned, we’ll drop you a line and make you show us the tortoise lady. The old timey toys are something I gotta see. And the tortoise, too of course.
Hmm, pleasant. I was referring to the lengthy effort to navigate the convention. By the time we found you, it seemed epic. Somersaults would of been fantastic!

also, this is super-dorky, but i just signed up for this and got excited about how easy it is for selling zines/minis/stupid crap via our site: http://checkout.google.com/sell/
you can send invoices to spam people, or just make a little button people click to pay you for stuff. i’m gonna use this to get rid of some old comics, and eventually for the zine when we print that baby up!
