Stick figure comics are better ‘n no comics.
One of the dumbest reasons for giving up is due to self-induced inadequacy. The way you get around this is to keep at it. You become as good as you will become and it will either be accepted or it won’t. Let US decide if it’s shit or not. If it’s shit, we won’t buy it…
I could use a golf analogy but it would be stupid because I am not very good at golf.

the art is the frosting. My favorite comics (Snakepit, Clutch) all have kickass writing… and I’m sure they (and you) disagree with me, but I could care less if they’re “good” artists… as long as they’re funny!

Used to live out there, but never heard of it.
As to what is wrong with people who buy your comics. …um…. they’re funny and I actually really like the way you draw lol It’s got a solid style that works with the humor.

Well, I’m mostly into comics that have elegant and arty artwork that make me feel inadequate too. But, of the ever-lengthening list of webcomics on my Piperka favorites, yours is about the ONLY one I actually rush to look at every time there’s an update, so you’re doing something fairly adequate as far as I’m concerned. Plus, you’re very young and have many years ahead of you to polish up your artwork and squeeze the life out of your comics, so don’t worry.

Plus, jeez, you still have the whole facial expressions thing, the whole composition thing (e.g. tiny Julia with letter from big world). Your stick figures are way better than anything I can draw.
By the way, should I order any missing books now or wait until you’re moved?
What’s wrong with the people who buy your comics (who aren’t your personal friends) is that we’re pustule-ridden internet geeks with no social lives who think complete strangers who talk about themselves online are close personal friends of ours. Or maybe that’s just me.

i can’t believe i’m gonna miss the reading at fucking pegasus (which is in downtown berkeley, by the way)!! breaks my heart but hope it goes well.
since i’ll be ordering #6 online soon i can answer for all your internet shoppers when i say: we’re retarded. what’s wrong with us varies but the retardation is what binds us together.
