well, of course. because that is what you do when a dinosaur rears its head. it’s only polite.

The word turbid is severely underused, just like most of the really good bits of the English Language.

Nice. Well done, J. I could write four paragraphs why these four panels are significant, but I’ll just say that you done good. Real good.

thanks terry!

This is like one of the most peaceful comic I have seen from you Julia. Good work! Glad the dinosaur got to keep his head and was offered some lunch instead.

That’s a really endearing dinosaur.

Heh my dad and I used to go to Twin Peaks on a regular Basis. So I most definitely know what you mean. Also, my dad and I always went there to look over all of SF as it was smack dab in the upper places

I was there too, on the top of twin peaks, looking down. I’d be surprised if it were at the same time as you were but it’s funny to be reading this next day, a comic showing very nearly what I had just been thinking and doing.

Although I’ve spent a lot of time in SF fog, I’ve never been above it. However, I have been up on Mt. Diablo and other high peaks in the East Bay area when the fog covers the surrounding area, and it has a similar effect, though not as individual as yours.
Yours sounds so much more… dream-like.

wow, this is great.. i love twin peaks, and that is a really sweet dinosaur.

.. unless the dinosaur that pops up is carnivorous.

fantastic! i’ve been reading your stuff for months but this particular comic put a smile on my face that’ll last all day.
i know well that foggy, whimsical, edge-of-the-world feeling…
March 26th, 2007 at 3:38 pm
Awwww…that’s nice.

How is it possible that quality of your comics keeps going up? I swear, you surprise me with each new update.
March 26th, 2007 at 3:49 pm
That is some dense fog…and one cute dinosaur.

This page recalls a remark from my favorite dead curmudgeon, Ambrose Bierce, reflecting on San Francisco:
Careful now, we’re dealing here with a myth.
This city is a point upon a map of fog;
Lemuria in a city unknown.
Like us,
It doesn’t quite exist.

Holy crapamolli! Do you hoof it with your bike up that damn thing?!
I love this comic. I used to ponder the same kinda thing when I’d camp on the Mogollon Rim in Arizona after I saw Jurassic Park. I would imagine a big Brachiosaurus popping it’s head up through the tree tops below me and how enchanting that would be.

[...] Baker or Ocean Beach or bum around Golden Gate park or drink beer in Dolores Park. Walking up to Twin Peaks is always fun too. I’m a big fan of people watching, which is the best free activity ever. [...]

YAY!
you just:
a) time traveled
b) caused all dinosaurs to die because of the germs (cheese) in that sandwich!
c) saved the world by making sure that the dinosaurs did not stay as big and scary as they where. YAY
in the name of me, I would like to thank you for saving the world.
I’d also like to thank cheese for being awesome

The first time my mom visited me in SF, we went up Twin Peaks and I said,
“There’s where you can’t see the Bay Bridge, and there’s where you can’t see Alcatraz, and …”
