I had no less than three posts deleted because I insulted Oliver for dumping Julia right before Christmas. It was very uncool. Don’t people know how precarious the good feelings of Christmas are? A death in the family or a nasty breakup right around then can literally spoil the holiday years. I stand by my comments, although I won’t repeat them for fear of getting deleted again.

I used to defend my ex all the time, too. We lived together for quite a while and it seemed quite possible we would get back together after she sorted out her issues. Once I realized that there was no chance of me having to spend time with her ever again, I had no qualms about letting the world know that I agreed with them that she was in fact a heathen.

it sucks when people trash an ex, especially right after a break up. It’s like, “Hey, I just spent X number of years of my life with that person, and now you’re telling me you think they’re an asshole? AWESOME.”

breaking up sucks. I was in a long distance thing with this girl, and it wasn’t working out, so i broke up with her… it was pretty awful…
i did at least warn her that i was thinking about it for a while and i avoided holidays :-p
i guess it worked. we’re still friends, and talk on the phone every once in a while.
