February 5th, 2007 at 12:03 pm
fixed! thanks for catching it
February 5th, 2007 at 12:22 pm
I think if you’d told me to draw what I wanted for my future when I was a kid, I’d draw a giant Discovery Zone maze.
I miss Discovery Zones…fi
February 5th, 2007 at 12:51 pm
haha. that’s awesome. frankly i think the whole married with kids thing is overrated. give me a modest home with a couple fuzzy pants and that sounds way better. (oh, alright, maybe a man to smooch every once & awhile, too)
February 5th, 2007 at 2:04 pm
i always pictured myself alone too, with some pets, lots of drawing stuff and stairs…i always pictured it being a two story house which was the classiest thing i could dream of as a tot.
February 5th, 2007 at 2:05 pm
did you ever used to draw a line to show where the sky was? i did when i was a kid, the same way you’d show where water began….
February 5th, 2007 at 2:41 pm
I still draw a line where the sky begins. Either that or I paint one big blue line along the top of the page just like when I was in second grade. Because that is how much I haven’t developed. Will tries to tell me that’s wrong, but um, like HE knows anything about “art”!
And Julia, don’t fret, Josh is just jealous because your future features more pussy than his ever will.

Ooops, I forgot I’ve still been leaving comments as Freddy!
February 5th, 2007 at 2:47 pm
Hey, what the hell is happening to my comments? they are dissapearing and it won’t let me post them again cause it says “duplicate comment.” What kind of black magic sorcery is this?

I can’t figure out whether you guys are sitting inside or outside…
And if you ARE sitting inside, you guys are still allowed to smoke inside of bars and coffee-houses and the like? Cause here, they won’t let us anymore.

DISCOVERZY ZONE!!! Malach was the general manager for the Discovery Zone in Dartmouth, MA. 1994 - 1997
WERE GOING DZ AT DISCOVERY ZONE!
Man could I tell you some stories

I thought smoking ANYWHERE in California in public earned you at least a tar and feathering. Or are the smoking laws exaggerated? You can still smoke in a bar or cafe here in Louisiana as long as its not part of a restaurant. Of course people still aren’t sure where the line is drawn as a few real bars have gone smoke free.

Oh and Julia, I envy the relationship you have with your brother. My sister and I have literally nothing in common. Her idea of the future involves marrying some doctor so he can buy her a mercedes…
February 5th, 2007 at 10:03 pm
Chris,
I believe she and her bro are outside at a cafe table. Hence, the gloves.
February 6th, 2007 at 12:48 am
I don’t think I really spent much time imagining my future as a kid - at least not vividly enough to draw pictures of it. Once I decided I’d marry my best friend’s little brother if he didn’t drink or smoke when he grew up.
February 6th, 2007 at 2:12 am
and the hat! gloves and hat indicate the out side, athough i guess it could be a fassion statment, afterall how cold dose it even get in california? actualy while im asking questions, what is the dad holding in the first frame? a coffee cup? a beer bottle? could be a grenade i supose, but that’s a little child unfriendly i think. any way, hilarius, i love the comics with your brother in them, he reminds me of my disfunctional family.

Lucas “afterall how cold dose it even get in california?”
it “dose” get cold in San Francisco… I think you may be thinking of southern California who’s existence is denied north of San Luis Obisbo of being even habitable… SF is in northern California where winter does come for a scant few months. SF has it even worse due to the fact it is surrounded on 3 sides by water, which provides the town with an ample supply of fog. In fact during the summer it is just as bad if not worse thanks to the fog…
Samuel Clemens said it best, “The coldest winter i ever spent was a summer in San Francisco”

Well, cats like cheese, so you’ll be all set.
Unless you’re a selfish cow.
February 6th, 2007 at 8:54 am
In the first frame the Dad actually isn’t holding anything–that’s a big drop of blood caused by the woman HOLDING ONTO HIM SO TIGHT! Har…
February 6th, 2007 at 11:28 am
i’m sitting outside at my work at a cafe.
They’re supposed to be holding hands in the first frame, but it looks like he’s and yes, San Francisco can get quite cold. I should probably stop surfing to work.

Ditched the new digs already?
February 10th, 2007 at 10:54 pm
I used to imagine myself barricaded at the top of a tower with several high powered rifles.
