I really like this. It’s sweet, but at the same time it also shows your contempt for all things sweet!

How do you chose what parts of your personality and appearance get boiled down to your cartoon self? I’m not implying that you brainstorm with a whiteboard, but I’d be interested in hearing your thought process.

I whitebrain with a stormboard & pour whiskey on the sacraficial goat, who draws my comics for me.
also, living in SF gives people a kind of multiple personality thing, so it’s not like I really thought it out, I just drew how I felt while looking at the city, which is bittersweet, since while you’re looking at the beautiful scenery, you’re also standing in pee & someone’s calling you a cunt for not giving them dollars you don’t have because the rent for your beautiful apartment is like a new rape every month.

I can’t help noticing that the bike you draw is a track bike, despite your claim of non-hipster-with-a-bike-ness. Put some breaks on that thing!

it’s not a track bike, I just can’t draw bikes.

You didn’t think it out? Please. What are you, the rainman of indy comics?
For not thinking it out, you produce some great stuff. Your comics are honest and funny as shit.
And hey, I was the guy at Zinefest who you said you drew a comic about when I came back to your table again. When’s my god damn comic coming out?!

Hey I just read through some of the archive and I like what I’m reading, it’s blunt, cute and funny. It is rather entertaining.
Keep up the good work
